E-Z Data Acquired By Ebix

Pasadena-based E-Z Data, a developer of customer relationship management (CRM) for the financial services and insurance industry, has been acquired by Ebix in a deal worth $50.35M. According to Ebix, the firms closed the transaction today. E-Z Data develops CRm used by insurance companies, general agents, banks, investment dealers, agents, and financial advisors, and was headed by Dale Okuno. Ebix said that it will pay $25.35M in cash, plus $25M in common stock of Ebix for E-Z Data. Tags:













AWR Trumpets Financial Performance

El Segundo-based AWR, a developer of high frequency, electronic automation , is trumpeting its financial performance today, saying it had "record annual revenues" for its fiscal year ended March 31st. The privately held firm, which did not disclose its actual financials, said the record year came in spite of the worldwide recession. The company said the 2009 fiscal year was the twelfth consecutive year of revenue growth for the firm. AWR attributed the firm's recent performance to two of the company's largest orders in its history, from manufacturer of 3G wireless transceivers. AWR's EDA are used by electronics designers to develop wireless, high-speed, and electro-optical products. Tags: , ,













Ixia Adds Security Offerings

Calabasas-based network testing firm Ixia has launched a new product, focused on the network security market, the firm announced today. Ixia said that it has launched IxDefend, which is says is a comprehensive security analysis tool that can assess the security and robustness of applications, network appliances, and information systems. The firm said its product can be used to identify known and zero-day threats to systems, errors, and other security exposures in applications.
