Cogi Launches API

Santa Barbara-based Cogi, which operates an online service which helps users transcribe and capture their business calls and meetings, said Tuesday that it has rolled out a public beta of an application programming interface (API), which will allow developers to integrate Cogi with CRM, sales force automation, project management, and other applications. The firm said the API will help companies add Cogi's capture and note taking capabilities into existing enterprise apps. Cogi said the it is accepting a "limited" number of licensees to the beta, and will launch to the public in the coming quarter. Active Storage Gets Funding From Intel, Others

Torrance-based Active Storage a developer of RAID products for Apple computers, has raised a Series A funding round, the firm said Tuesday afternoon. The company--which was founded by former executives at Apple, Inc.--said the funding was led by Intel Capital, and also included Mission Ventures and Valhalla Partners. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. The firm said its founders were responsible for Apple's Active STorage XRAID products. The firm is headed by Alex Grossman. No tag for this post.
