Investor's Business Daily - More people are online in China than there are people in the U.S., according to a research group sanctioned by China's gov't. The number of Internet users in China reached 338 mil in June, while the U.S. population was just under 307 mil. The number of Chinese Web users has jumped 13.4% since the end of '08. But overall Internet penetration in China is still just 25.5% vs. more than 70% in the U.S. A new surge in Chinese Internet use is expected this year with the country's rollout of 3G mobile service, which supports wireless Web surfing.No tag for this post.
