CNET - Rival game makers Electronic Arts and Take-Two Interactive Software signed a confidentiality agreement after agreeing to hold private talks about a potential transaction, EA announced Monday in a regulatory filing.No tag for this post.

Santa Monica-based Xoova, an online health related web site focused on connecting physicians and patients, has shut its doors. The site, which was funded by Spark Capital, started as DoctorsDirect.com and renamed itself Zoova in February of last year. The firm had received $2.5M in funding from Spark Capital. Former CEO Tommy McGloin confirmed on a call today with socalTECH that the firm has been dissolved; McGloin is now at Google in Santa Monica. Xoova had started as a service to provide doctors with an online appointment scheduling service, and had created a nationwide directory of doctors and services.
